Opening Multiple Tracks, Losing Audio and Latency - HS7

Hey All,

1 - I created a song, all audio, but one day, I go in to open the project and it simply doesn't play.  I can see the audio in the project but there is just no audio.  When I open up other projects, there's no problem with the audio playback.  Is this just a Windows thing??  How does a song just stop playing but showing all the signs of recording?

2 - When recording, my guitar is usually a second off of the original rhythm.  What are some basic settings I should check?

3 - In past versions of Sonar Home Studio, I was able to open up multiple projects at once; with this, nothing.  I usually would like copying and pasting drum rolls into other songs, but with HS7, only one project can be worked on at once.

Thanks.

    1) check your outputs.  what are the outputs of all of your tracks?  do you have a master bus (you should), if so, what is it's output.

    2) you are using the lambda, but are you using it for recording AND playback?  if not, you should.  if you use your onboard soundcard for output then you are using 2 different soundcards with 2 different clocks and one of them has to be the master.  that will cause tracks to be out of sync.  use ONLY the lambda.

    3) SHS7 does not have that functionality.  cakewalk decided that SHS needed to be simpler and easier to use with Sonar being the full function DAW.  if you want to do that, you'll have to go back to SHS6.
