E-MU Proteus VS Dimension Pro

i have home studio 7xl, with dimension le and tts-1 and strings virtual instrument.  i am mostly interested in getting the best strings software.

does anyone know if e-mu proteus virtuoso is different or better than the above?  does dimension pro have different or better string sounds than e-mu proteus?

i know for $20 more i can get the diemnsion pro instead of the e-mu one, so it seems like a no-brainer to get dimension pro as it has a lot more than strings.  but i'm searching for strings as the most important criterion.

thanks,

jim

    Hi Jim,

Dim Pro comes with GPO pocket version...also and a few more of it's own string patches..

I have the emu proteus thing within Dim Pro also, but use GPO strings more

If I had to choose between the 2, I'd go for Dim Pro and I'm not just saying that coz this is the cakewalk forum..

thanks for the feedback.  my dimension le already has GPO.  is it expamded in dimension pro?

also, do programs such as EMAX integrate into cakewalk, or would they be separate?

No, it's identical in both versions.
