Sonar 64bit and 32 bit on the same computer

I have Sonar 64 bit and the 32 bit installed on my computer. I always work with the 64 bit, unless I need to use rewire, in which case I switch to the 32 bit version.

Problem is, since the 8.5.2 update, the 32 bit does not work at al anymore. No matter what I choose, Sonar will always start in 64 bit mode. This means that I do not have any rewire anymore.

Anybody else running 64 and 32 bit on the same computer without problems?

I just noticed that my 32bit version of SONAR will not start, and I got an error that some dll failed to register when I installed the 8.5.2 update for the 32 bit version.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I wonder how many others are having this problem. I usually just run the SONAR x64 version, so I missed this issue.

Thanks for letting me know this, I wont switch to the upgrade now!

I have both 64-bit and 32-bit on my computer..

Although, I don't know why I should use 64-bit version.. it has alot less cakewalk Effects in it than my 32-bit version.  Plus, all my songs are made with the 32-bit version and for some reason when I use the 64-bit version to read them, it says I'm missing Fxchorus.. I fixed the missing rapture and Dimenision Pro problem.

    Why use the 64-bit version?

Is there a way to get Fxchorus or other missing plugins into the 64-bit version?

Hi mate - I think its a DX effect - which means it is 32 bit only and wont work on the 64 bit version. Unfortunately bit bridge only supports VSTs for some reason.

I'm not getting that problem - updated to 8.52 last week and did seperate installs for both 64 and 32 bit versions.  Both work quite happily post update. Note that I'm using Sonar Studio rather than Producer so that may be a factor.
