I can't stand Marketing Techniques. Especially INFOMERCIALS! Are we all cattle?
I can't stand it, I have a sleeping disorder and can't take meds for it because I'm allergic to them. I spend a lot of time up late at night watching TV and talking on the internet. Sometimes flipping off or thru the channels on TV I see these infomercials on.
I can't stand it, if I start watching them I want to buy the product! I could use one of everything they show! I can't stand it! A MUST HAVE ITEM! And if I order it right then, I will receive two of everything so I can give one to a friend - "OR PERHAPS THE PRODUCT DON'T LAST LONG AND A BACKUP IS NEEDED".
This got me to thinking which one was my favorite at this point in time. I'd probably have to say any of the cooking infomercial products.
You see, they know that your probably lying awake HUNGRY for a snack so they show them late at night when you are vulnerable to purchasing needless food creation products. IT'S ALWAYS SOME KIND OF COMMENT - JUST PRESS/HIT/OR SET IT AND FORGET IT Kinda add.
This is why I no longer have a credit card. Impulse shopping is just too much of an evil indulgence.
Have you ever noticed when you go into a convenience store that they always have those impulse items right there at the check out counter. Chocolate's and things like that.
I'm sick of being treated like cattle with all this : "HEY THIS IS YOU AND PURCHASE THIS BECAUSE YOU NEED IT". It should be called Manipulating Marketing.
If I could only get one of those infomercial persons to sing some tunes for me. Not only would I have a hit song, but I'd sell ya one heck of a new invention at the same time, Hmmm, how about a free Square Guitar Pick with every purchase? You could use it to line up your postage stamps on your envelopes, or it could also be used for drawing a square.
I refuse to give in to this type of marketing, ..... HOLD ON, I"VE GOT TO GO ORDER SOMETHING........ I'll be back later.........
