Anyone here using Absynth 5? Is it 64 bit?

I see that us 8.5 users can get Absynth 5 for $99.00. I'm just seeing if anyones had any experience with it here and if it is 64 bit. I don't want to use bit bridge if it can't go 64 bit. Thanks!

I've been playing around with it a bit to see if it's worth buying, but it really depends upon the style of music you want to create. It's more about creating "evolving soundscapes" (per NI) than faithfully recreating instruments. That said, it has some great sounds and features and dozens of user-created patches available for free.

    It's only 32-bit, though.

It works on 64-bit versions of Windows, and you can try a demo version of it from NI's Web site.

I have it as part of Komplete 6 and it is 64-bit.  Most of the newer NI plug-ins are 64-bit.  Is the demo possibly only 32-bit?

As Steve says it is more geared toward evolving soundscapes than recreating instruments, but I really like what it does and I think it sounds great.

They call 'em fingers, but I've never seen 'em fing.

    Absynth 5 is 64bit now.

I agree with Planetearth about the soundscapes.  Absynth is more useful for ambient and soundscapes than for acoustic or traditional synth leads/sounds.

    Thanks for the correction, lads.

From what I saw on NI's Web site (and from the VST and standalone demo I'm using on my 32-bit Windows XP SP3 system), it'll run on a 64-bit system, but there's no mention in the "specifications" that it's 64-bit. All I found in their tech support FAQ was this: http://www.native-instrum...64-bit+Windows+System. Unfortunately, it refers to Absynth 4, which was 32-bit.

The demo version is actually the same as the "full" version (as a 630+MB download, it should be!); all you have to do is activate it to get full functionality.

I'm really intersted in using Absynth as an effect for audio tracks. I think the new aetherizer would be pretty sweet to process some different things like drums or vox with.
