Audio Driver running Sonar 8 on a Mac through parallels

Hi I am brand new to this forum and not the biggest computer nerd and I need help.

I have a Macbook pro, I have installed parallels visualization running on my macbook pro specifically so I can run Sonar 8. Now I have Sonar up and running but I am getting an error message when I open Sonar that my audio drivers may not be working or are in use by another program. I have gone through sonar with Options>audio and confirmed that I have my drivers selected but when I try to play back audio nothing happens. Even the sonar progress bar won't advance on the timeline. I can hear other window's sounds and play audio foles through WMP but I am unable to get any playback through Sonar. PLEASE HELP!

    I think you might not be able to do it.

    I dont think firewire is available through parallels...you could try using the WDM driver..and see how you go...

    Most people running sonar on macs, appear to be running under Bootcamp and booting the machine up with a version of windows.

    I would just like to state that I got it to work and I am now successfully running Sonar on my mac through parallels

    Wow thats great...!!

    wanna tell us what you did, and what latency you are now running...would love to hear a bit more about it...what type of mac, interface, etc et etc..
