Pitch shifting audio not working!

Hi everyone,

When I use the Cakewalk Pitch Shifter it totally ruins the audio clip by adding gargling effect and doubling or trippling the wave pattern.

For some reason the Time/Pitch Stretch plugin that worked reasonably well on my old computer will not load when I select it. I have been forced to export the clips, use Audacity to change pitch, then import back into Sonar.

So my questions are:

1. Why is the Time/Pitch plugin defunct?
2. If Audacity can pitch shift easily with good results why can't Sonar?

Thanks for your input!

    Hi Steven,

Use SONAR's V-VOCAL plugin instead of the pitch shifter plugin.  For questions about SONAR and V-VOCAL post over in the SONAR forum where you're bound to get all kinds of helpful responses from SONAR users.

    OOOOOOOPs! I'll move it over.

Actually I do not see V-Vocal in Sonar 8SE. Can't find it anywhere.

V-Vocal is in SONAR Producer.  Sorry about that.
