Rapid String Note Volume

I'm using the Cakewalk Studio Instruments Strings (using the piano roll to enter each note)- in a few places where notes are short and change rapidly, the volume of such notes is down.  I put velocity and volume at their max but it still happens.  is there a parameter that will improve this? Otherwise I seem to have to clone such notes to get the volume up.

Thanks,

Jim

Disclaimer: I know zip about Studio Instruments.  However, in general, it sounds like the sound you're trying to play has a somewhat slow attack.  By the time the sound reaches a reasonable level of volume, the note-off has already been received.  If you can make the attack of the amp (and maybe filter) envelope shorter, it might solve your problem.  That is, if there even is an amp and filter envelope to tweak in the first place.

    thanks.

yeah, realized it's the attack.  but i'm not sure if i can set the attack to different values within a track, or if i have to put the quick notes in their own track.
