I don't understand. Why is it that the A-Pro has less features than the PCR and yet it's more expensive?

A-Pro has better key bed, better action, better implemtation of ACT, illuminated display.

What does the PCR have that A-Pro does not?

Pretty much everthing I have read indicates the A Pro is a better unit.

But the PCR has ten more velocity sensitive pads as well as a cross fader and some buttons for the cross fader that I don't know what they do. Actually, in the end, I wouldn't use that stuff for MIDI controlling anyway. I suppose the extra pads would be useful for sampling, but the keys themselves are sufficient for that. You know what, you're probably right that the A-pro is better, if only because the technology has improved over time, keybed for example. And I forgot that the A-pro has some crucial transport buttons that were left out of the PCR for some reason. But thanks, you've cleared up my conflict of which to get.

I ordered a PCR800 just the other day and will see what it's like. It was $100 cheaper than A800.

I read reviews saying good thing about keyboard itself.

I tested some crap like M-Audio Axiom and was deeply unsatisfied with the key bed. Calling that semi-wheighted key is pure fraud IMO.

So that new stuff would be better regarding keybed  I considered not to be automatic. I had better keybeds on Casio than this Axiom.

I had a Kurzweil with Fatar keys and also a Fatar VMK series but they are stinking heavy( and poor packaging from Fatar since it was broken and was sent back). And the worst with Fatar, it's Italian.

Was wondering how the control stick works.  Do you move the stick horizontally to do a pitch bend?

Do you mind expanding what do you mean by better implementation of ACT? And better action?
