TTS-1 Patch labels

I posted the following in the VS-100 forum, but realized this was a more appropriate forum - any help is apprecitated!

Many of the patches on the TTS-1 are simply numbers, however there are labeled instruments behind them (i.e., they show up on the consol after selecting.  Additionally, the patch browser doesn't display all the patches for a given bank.  Is there an easy way to see what the instrument is without having to select it?

Only bank 0 has instruments in every slot. As you move up, each bank has fewer selections.
The ones with numbers only have no patch associated. What you are seeing is TTS-1 defaulting to bank 0 when you select a slot with no patch.
TTS-1 is a General MIDI 2 synth, and the available instruments are shown in the table in this article:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_MIDI_Level_2
The patches are numbered -1 in TTS-1 relative to the table because computers start counting at 0, not 1. For instance patch 8 in the table is patch 7 in TTS-1.
Check the table out, and hopefully it makes sense.
