Gateway P6860-FX laptop not passing DPC latency checker test...

well, this is what the DPC latency checker is giving me on my Gateway P6860-FX laptop.  Intel T5550 CPU, 4GB ram, nVidia GeForce 8800M GTS video card, Sonar PE 6.
I've disabled all unnecessary hardware in device manager (BIOS doesn't give option to turn off MB peripherals) and uninstalled their drivers.  I don't know how to find the offending device as I've disabled everything (and then some) I can think of.
The spike happens every 14-15 seconds and shoots up to astronomical figures.
Any thoughts?  I'm not too noobish so let me know if what other info ya need.
Thanks

Kevin

What about running processes and services?
I don't know if they could be causing spikes like that, but it's worth a try.

You may want to track down the specific driver that is causing the spike. You can do this by installing Microsoft's RATTV3. RATTV3 will log for you what drivers are making lots of interrupt requests and DPC's that are taking so much processor time.

Thanks.  I will start there and report back on my progress.  Gonna look into processes and services too.  I've shut down most according to the black viper site for Vista.
Thanks again.

Here are screen shots of running processes and services:

I'm gonna try disabling Net Driver HPZ12 as I believe it is the network printer driver that I won't be needing.  The boot drive I'm using is a clone of my original OS and all files.  I just deleted all the other stuff and used ccleaner.  I'm willing to do a full reinstall but would rather not as all my Sonar and what not are already installed.
Hmmm... I see a few things already that could be turned off.  Please advise...
Thanks,
Kevin

My OS is Vista x64.  RATTV3 only works with 32 bit.

I'm gonna give xperf another shot as I've been studying...
Anyone know where I can get the standalone xperf?
Thanks again.

UPDATE:  I found what was causing red spikes every 15 seconds.  I disabled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery and VOILA!  Now I have a random yellow spike but I think I will be able to do some work now that the 15-second dropouts are gone.
I hoped a clean install would work but NO!
Thanks to you that helped.
