Fan Bios Settings on Laptop effect Latency

I have isolated my dpc latency issue to a spike that occurs when my fan warning of 50 degrees C kicks up the fan speed to high. It only stays up for an instant the fan comes up and then goes back down to 20 microseconds latency until it turns down the fan which gives another spike. I think if I could find where in bios to turn the fan on high all the time, I would be able to run glitch free. Anybody know of a program or phoenix bios editor that could do the trick?

Looks like same story with my notebook.
I wich the fan rotating slow and permanently instead of Up and Down

Unfortunately no idea where to get modern Phoenix Bios for laptops, but programs are available:

SpeedFan - nice and free program. Read help first, there is a list of supported configs to be loaded from net to further operations. The guy who did it is available to talk with if any troubles

Hmonitor - looks solid and good

RivaTuner - free, complex soft for overclockers and able to control speed of fan as well

I failed to aplly these softs because bios in my notebook closed by producer.
These softs  failed to get from system  reference on fan  as a device and  list of available speed rates.

Read somewhere on overclockers forums that if to look at motherboard and find small number on a small PLL chip then it become obvious who has produced that chip and how to acces fan via it .
But im not planning to destroy my machine right now:)

If your configuration is more democratic one, then you should have luck with soft solutions.
Try and  have success and please let me know !

    Just a friendly "heads-up"...

I recommend extreme caution if you're going to alter the way the manufacturer has set the fan for your laptop. Laptop computers don't have the same air flow or heat tolerances or that desktop computers have, and you're likely to do serious damage if you're not careful. (This is why you can't overclock most laptops; too many people would screw them up.)

Before voiding your warranty or risking damage to the computer processor, you might want to be sure that these latency spikes are actually causing you any real-world problems. You don't state what the numbers are before--or during--a "spike"; is it really that bad?

Keep in mind that turning the fan "off" will, of course, free up the rest of your day within about 20 seconds. Leaving it running all the time will cause excessive noise and battery drain. (I doubt you record under battery power, but you'll probably want to unplug the laptop at some time.)

Most off-the-shelf laptops don't have the same number or type of heat sensors in them as desktop computers, so most of the software designed to adjust desktop fans may not work, or may not work reliably, since the software won't get accurate temperature readings.

    Good luck!
