"Split at selection" command shortcut

hi,
Found the Split at selection command (Edit/Split) but I am wondering if there is a key-shortcut for this command, as I see it very useful when editing takes and it would save a lot of time. However, I cannot find such a command in the Key bindings menu. Is there any other way I can set a key for "Split at selection" command?

thx

Best Regards,
Marek

actually, it would be nice to have Split at selection command set to some key. I think it would be better than using Split tool. I am submitting the feature request.

    "S" is the default.

You can map anything that's on the dropdown menus to a keyboard shortcut. The default for Edit -> Split, which brings up the Split dialog, is CTL-\. Just press Enter to make the split at the Now marker.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I want to Split at selection. it is useful when editing takes - select desired area and make a clip from it. with the Split tool, it has to be clear what do I want to select before I actually select it. because it will Split it as soon as the area is selected.

I watched a mixing video, using PT, where the engineer was using this pretty often. just one simple click...

I think every command (drop down menus, menus, this setting, that setting...) should be assignable to any key shortcut.

I'd like such a keyboard shortcut!
    BTW CTRL+\ doesn't work (in X3).
The only way I currently have has 3 mouse clicks
    Isn't there a simpler way?
