VS-100 owners in Australia

Hi guys...
Well so far I know jackbullet and myself have the VS-100 here in Melbourne.  Anyone else in Australia??  Jeff Evans...do you have one?

Not yet, but I'd like to know if the power supply is a universal type, that can operate on 240v? ie, can I get one from the States, and use it here?

    Cheers,
    Dan.

    Hi Mick / Dan,

I'd received my VS-100 which I bought from the US and it works fine here in Aus. You just need to buy an  appropriate power cable to plug in VS-100 "brick" transformer.

    Hi
Yes. I bought one a week ago. Love it so far. I thought I saw some great tutorials on one of the Roland web sites about Home Recording in general but can't seem to find them again. Anyone know where they are or can suggest some other good ones.
    Cheers

Yaaa good question.  I got on to Scott G a while ago about doing a VS-100 video.  The problem is that they (people who do commercial tutorial videos) need a big user base before it becomes commercially viable to do one.  So I'm reckoning that as soon as there is a big enough user base there will be videos available.  So hold on, there coming I believe.  In the meantime this forum is probably the best place to ask questions.  Don't be afraid to ask...we all get something out of a Q&A.

    The other Mick...:)

Just wondering if you guys prefer recording on the computer or record a few tracks on the SD card then download to the software for editing.

I tend to "scratch" some stuff down ont he SD with the metronome then import to a project and go mad...!!!  That way I get the basics of a tune down quickly while I have it in my head.  The metronome is handy because you set the project tempo the same and all midi is synced!!! REAL COOL....
