Multimix8 usb 2.0 sync problem

Hi folks,
I just bought this unit. I was using an m-audio fast track pro with no problems but wanted more inputs. I am running sonar 8.
Pentium 4 with 3 gigs of memory.XP pro with service pack 3 update.

The problem is  after I record a track the sound does not align (in the track pane view) with the original track. in other words if I hit a snare on 1 of the first measure it will be delayed slightly (sound wise and visually in the track view)
I have run the wave profiler and tried adjusting the latency with no luck.
any advice would be greatly appreciated..........I'm frustrated

ps, I did go to the alesis web site and download the latest drivers.
