VS 700C ..... Customizable Lexan Overlays ...... ?

I'm not a VS 700C owner but having spent some time with a MCU Pro, I got to thinking ....
 
The " Access PAnel "  on the bottome left of the VS 700C  has  16  user-assignable buttons [ at least I'm %99 sure thats the case ]
 
Each of these  16  can have an  Shift  or  Ctrl  or  Alt  giving up to  48 user-assignable buttons  [ again, please correct me if I'm wrong ]
 
Either way  -  whether its  16 or 32 or 48 assignable buttons - does the VS 700C come with any sort of plastic / lexan  "overlays " where a user can "write-on-their-own-button-assignments"  or apply small  "dymo-like-mini-labels "  and then place it over the  16 rectangulat knobs  just like an MCU  ?
 
If not ... maybe this could be consider a suggestion.

    I haven't seen any templates for it. If you're handy with art programs and have a good printer I'm sure you could make some blanks on a suitable medium.

    It's only 16 assignable buttons. You can't use modifier keys with user-assigned functions, unfortunately.

    Hmmmm ..... surely this is an  " uninteneded feature "  ?

    Imagine having  48 assignable buttons where the  "modifier keys"  are right-next to the buttons - 48 differnent user assignements literally at the  [very small]  stretch of two fingers.

    If this isnt a major feature waiting to happen, I'd be amazed.
     
    Looking at the table on  Page 65  of the manaul,  it can and has been done but they are currenlty  " reserved ".

    Surely all that needs to happen is for these  modifier combinations to be "exposed" and "assignabvle"  via  ACT  or  simply  added to the  VS700 Property Page  Surface Tab  page - see page 66 of the manual.
     
    I'd be amazed if this wasnt already slated for updating in an upcoming update.

    yea Tom,

    that is how I read it.  Maybe one day, tho the 16 buttons seem to cover most of what one would do w/ SONAR.
