i7 620M vs. 720QM for Sonar - er, ping Scott?

i7 620M vs. 720QM for Sonar - er, ping Scott?

  Just now ordering an ADK laptop, and the salesperson and ADK benchmarks say the 4-thread 620M beats the 720's 8 threads, especially at low latencies.  But have heard on here there's not much difference.  Any thoughts?

     I just got my laptop from Scott; he recommended the 620 (2.66GHz to me). When I ordered he had just finished those benchmarks.  I recall him being amused at how the 620M kicked the 720QM's butt.

    how funny i was just going to email you....
    to recommend swapping out to the 620.

    my benchmarks are right
    1.6GHz (4 real 4 logical core) vs
    2.66GHz (2 real 2 logical)

    GHz is king!

    I would have, except it got here in the middle of a family occasion; I had to cook, clean...and recover. Setting up tomorrow!
