Amplitube Demo

I mess with this from time to time. Why do I only hear the "amp" during play back and not while recording??? I figured that and the clicks were a by product of the demo trial???

Just wanted to add after messin' with Amplitube-that I think AcmeBarGig is WAAAAAAAAYYY better than other amp sims I've tried (Amp Sim-GT2-FreeAmp-Amplitube)-No-I haven't tried all that are out there!! IF I did I think my mind would still be made up!! Their Tech Support is*bring out the 10 foot fonts* AWESOME!!!!!
The variety is staggering!! It made me feel like a kid again-and only two things have done that-the other being my Wife!! *snap snap* FOCUS!! AcmeBarGig remember???-..sitting in my bed room with my LP and Rat pedal-every knob turned to 10-just jammin' away for hours when nothing else seemed to matter!!-My 2 cents!!

I bought the audiomidi "no-brainer" for amplitube 2 Live.  I wasn't impressed.  I tried a few others (Peavey's software, GR, AcmeBarGig)...and actually liked AcmeBarGig.  I downloaded the demo for Amplitube 3.  I wasn't impressed.  I hadn't spent much time with it, but I didn't like the presets at ALL.

I mentioned this in a thread here, somewhere...and a couple of individuals said "Give it some time, really dig into it...tweak the settings".   I ended up buying the full version for a good price.

Now, a month or two down the road, I can tell you that I LOVE Amplitube 3.  I can get SO many different and useable tones, I can hardly believe it.

Having said that, I still enjoy AcmeBarGig stuff...although I don't like it nearly as much as A3.  Of course, AcmeBarGig is FREE.  And Amplitube can't beat THAT! ;)

I will also stack tones using some of the Acme amps with the A3 amps/cabs/etc and have gotten some interesting results.

Amplitude seems to be a bit too noisy to be useful.

Hello there Peter me old mate - and how are you old pal?

According to my calculations, your current address is less than half a mile from the home of cricket - Lords:

In view of the fact that none of my tour jackets have ever arrived, I'm certain you will have the common decency to invite me to come and stay with you from August 25th to August 31st inclusive.

This will enable me to watch the 4th England -v- Pakistan Test Match in its entirety.

I've no doubt that your generosity will also extend to your purchasing my tickets for the match.

I'm looking forward already to seeing you in August

That's what it's all about right THERE!!! If you what it interesting you have to blend. Students or other guys I've talked to say "I wanna sound like....."insert name"!" So they buy all of insert name's gear and and strings and get depressed when they don't match up. Or they want that LP/Marshall sound (guilty here!) There might be a LP/Marshall hard left then a whole other set up hard right. So YES-AMEN you gotta stack tones!!
Why don't we sound like insert name when we get all of their gear and setting-studio and production yes-but it's in the hands-a lot of us know this already-granted new players searching for "the sound" need to find "their" sound and not chase some one else's.

    YES-I KNOW-I got off topic-AGAIN!!!

This demo is fully functional for a grace period of 10 days. The AmpliTube demo version works with exactly the same features as the
full version of AmpliTube. It is an great piece of sw.

I have Fender, and Metal, they sound as good as my (dinosaur) Digitechs GNX 4, if not better! Thinking of getting rid of the GNX 4, a lot of pedal to carry around, when its a mouse click away, which Digitech does have X-Edit, but still a pain in the butt, just my two cents worth! I be loving me some Amplitude!

I'm back in too! I just got Guitar Rig 4 Pro, it is amazing, over 250 presets, but the real cool thing is the amount of tools that come with it. I've been able to get about whatever sound I can dream up. And I've got some wild dreams! I highly recommend it, would give it 2 thumbs up, but can't take hands off the guitar long enough!

    Hey Brother!
I hate to play 20 questions-but I would rather ask some one that has it rather than read a review!! Did you own GR3 or 4 before GR4 Pro? What were the differences between 4 and 4 Pro? The mixing console screen shots look (and I'm sure-SOUND) awesome! I'm just wondering for the money-I'm sure GR4 Pro is the way to go-I'm trying to figure out just how many pennies I need to wrap!! I'll hold my two thumbs up til ya get back!! \m/

There’s a new king in tone, and its name is AmpliTube 3. A massive upgrade of the leading guitar and bass tone gear modeling software, AmpliTube 3 raises the industry standard of sound variety, realism and creative power. The software will emit a small noise every several seconds. When using the software as a demo, always click CANCEL on the Authorization Wizard

Yes sir, I owned Guitar Rig 3 LE that came with my Guitar Tracks Pro 4, since 3/20/10. Guitar Rig Pro 4, has 7 more amps, 21 more effects, and 3 more modifiers than Essentials 4. I dont know what comes in LE. But if ya own 3 LE, you can get a discount on their website, I think I paid $99.00, for the boxed version even though it says only download! I too, like Amplitude, I have owned Fender, and Metal versions. They are very good too, but I believe a little more cash. Right now, I've got what I need, if you can't find a tone you are looking for in GR4 Pro, then your ears are up there with dogs! Seriously, for the money, probably best purchase I've made!!!!

I haven't tried Amplitude 3-but would like too. I was looking at the GR Pro 4- I can't say I would ever/never use the new "Marshall" amps or effects in Pro 4 seems like 4 has everything I would need 4 now!! ANOTHER question if I may? That's not it!!- Since you owned GR 3 LE and up were/are those GR 3 LE patches importable into 4 and 4 Pro?? I Googled GR4  and 4 Pro reviews-the NI web site is VERY confusing to get info from-or it's just me?? None of the reviews mentioned importing user patches. Thanx 4 the info!!

They say something about being able to do that, but the way it is worded, sounds like they discourage it. Something about it not sounding the same, because of changes made in 4. I haven't tried it, I'm afraid I would mess something up! I, too would like to know what "kind" of changes it makes. But it is possible to import just some, or all of your 3 in one shot.

Thanks! Because I'm starting with 4 I guess my question was more for future version imports 5 or 6 if needed.  But if they can't-they can't. I won't be making so many patches that I won't mind sitting around one night dialin' back in on an upgrade!! I spelled Amplitube wrong in an earlier post-wanted to say sorry and no dis respect intended to A3 users-just a lack of caring to spell check myself!!
I did spend all of yesterday and night with the A3 demo-it made my old pc stutter like Porky Pig on a few patches!! I like the tube switching deal-would like to see a 6550 in there somewhere!! The drop down menu isn't to friendly for us Mt Dew users. My plan was to try EVERY patch and I did-I had to go back a few times because I missed some in the drop down menu.
If we give every amp sim enough time I'm sure we would use them all and find sounds we all like!! I use ASIO with my M-Audio Fast Track interface and it took FOREVER-45 minutes to get A3 to make sounds.I switched back to GR4 demo and it was on with no tweaking of inputs or whatever.  I realize it was  my error not A3-BUT like I said got it goin' spent the day and night with it-dig it-but dig GR4 more-don't throw stuff!! I liked the A3 4 track!! The noise gate suppressor in GR4 kept my LP quiet-I've had problems with it in other sims I've tried over the years.
I would like to see a Peavy Butcher sim (remember those?) I was asked to not come back to a certain music store because of a test drive I took a Butcher on!! Or a Silver Jubilee sim (my live work horse for years!)
I REALLY need to shut UP!!
So use and rock what you got-if it works for you CRANK it!!

None of the reviews mentioned importing user patches.

Found it!! When you are on the GR4 Pro preference menu 7 down in the list says something like "Import Guitar Rig 3 content" very VERY COOL!! I'm sure this feature will be included on future GR's!! Since I only have demo's of both (GR3 LE & GR4 Pro) I didn't see how I could mess up anything. GR4 Pro imported all GR3 LE patches-sound wise I couldn't tell a difference. Looks wise the GUI's are different-sleeker looking in GR4 Pro of course-unless I missed something-it IS possible to import content-patches-my 2 cents...

NP!! It's RARE that I come up with something to help-but some times the light bulb comes back on!! Yeah-I like the decks too!! Took me a few minutes to get why there were two!! The tube compressor!!?? From monster-to MONSTER-what a difference!! Now if I could finish reading the Sonar 8 1,000+ page instructions I might get something finished this year!! *cross fingers*

    * Wanted to add-those tape decks are WAY better than the old Ibanez Rock And Play!!-I also really like the learn feature on effects!!
