Totally brand new and need some guidance

Hello!
I am very, VERY new to creating music on my computer as far as tools, programs etc. I just purchased Studio instruments as this is what I am looking for to create what I want to create! I record positive affirmations over music mainly guided towards kids and teens. I have used other recordings of instrumental pieces, put them together for experiment with the affirmations but now am ready to go forward with my own creations... totally.
I have used Audacity for this.
With that said...you will probably think...oh my goodness she's in trouble...after reading my question!
Can you please guide me to where I can find how to use SI as a stand-alone and save the individual pieces I create for use in Audacity??? .....if possible.
I am looking around and can't seem to find it although I am sure it has to be here somewhere!
Thanks very much.

You'll need a midi sequencer to do what you want to.  I don't think SI has a stand alone mode - it works w/in a DAW (digital audio workstation - basically a midi and audio program).  Audacity doesn't do midi, I think.  There are various cheap to free Daws out there - Cakewalk included.  Go to KVR.com to find something if you don't want to pay Cake.

You'll have to write your midi parts, bounce them (which simply "plays" the midi parts and records them w/in teh computer itself - you don't hear it).  Then you'll have audio which you can mix in the DAW or audacity if you prefer it.

I've never used Music Creator but a lot of people start on it.  I like Cakewalk's DAWs - it was easy for me to understand and work w/.  You might want to try the demo first - or whatever cheapest program they offer a demo of.  It is kinda of one's own personal workflow - but MC should work fine.

    Luck!

That would be a good first step.  Or, you might consider getting a Cakewalk audio interface which has the SONAR LE product and possibly some other software synthesizers bundled with it.

Newbie as well, I just purchased Guitar tracks Pro 4, even if you're not a guitar player, it came with Studio Instruments, and its very easy to use, get you where you need to go, and the only reason I bring it up is it was only $49.00, on Musicians Friend, which is half off! And there are plenty of "cool" things you can do, and like I said very east to navigate, even for me! So if its still on sale, something to think about, comes with Boost 11, all kinds of plug-ins, some you might find helpful, once again just the price!
