both instruments are in the same frequency range and that is the cause of the problem.
If the mixer is stereo... pan them slightly off center from each other. Also, roll off the lows in the piano and set the eq slighty different ...this will help them stand apart from each other. I would also roll the lows and scoop the mids slightly on the guitar to "lighten" it up a bit in the mix.
