Cakewalk TTS-1 audio garbling problem

Hi !

It comes quite frequently that I need to use cakewalk TTS-1,
I used it on several machines, XP, Win7x64, on Sonar 6, 7, 8....
it always does the same problem,

when ever I BOUNCE a track from a TTS1 track (a midi clip, or an audio track)
all my audio is then garbled, distortionned, on all tracks (like at driver-level),

I have found no other option than closing/restarting sonar, but not much fun when I have numerous channels that I need to bounce, and that I need to reboot sonar at every clip I consolidate.

Anyone has seen this problem, probably so ... anyone got a solution for this? this is very annoying ..

The problem does not appear with any other plugin than TTS1, I'm using it on latest 8.5 right now..

Thanks in advance for your input !

V

Its due to your sound card driver set up or your lack of having a decent audio card or your lack of having a powerful pc or your using it in 88kHz

Its one of those 4 things

    Hi !

Thanks for your input, I'm not sure it lies in any of those 4 things in my case

I tested it with RME HDSP multiface AND 9652, Maudio Profire lightbridge and Audiophile192 PCI,
under both Windows XP (with Sonar 32bit), and Windows7pro X64 (w/Sonarx64),

I got a Q9500 Quad cpu computer, a Q6600 one... and a T7500 C2D laptop... it does all the same problem,
and I never record at 88khz, I don't do music for dogs... J

I've been having this problem for quite a while, I remember having this with at least sonar 6 or 7.

So I guess the problem lies elsewhere, wierd thing, is that I bounce tracks all day long, and it only does this with TTS1...

The reason i asked about the 88kHz sample rate is that the TTs doesn't like that sample rate

    A few things to try.
Lower the master volume setting in the TTS-1
Try turning off the Reverb and Chorus under the effects button in the TTS-1
Uncheck the fast bounce box under freeze options to see if that helps.

I am also having the same problem. All of the projects that used to sound fine for TTS-1 are now distorted.

No prob here, old X3 project.
Is this random or consistent? (Random I assume, else restarting wouldn't fix it)

    Encountered the same problem.

Had project sample rate at 96k... Changed sample rate to 44k, problem solved.
