Make Synth Tracks Mono?

Is there any way to make a synth track (audio with Session Drummer or DimPro as fx/output) mono?  These tracks seem locked in as stereo in Sonar 8.5.  Pressing the toggle button doesn't seem to work.

    In SONAr there is a drop down menu if you click on a track for "convert to mono." It will write a new file, I believe, so back up your old one.

    You want the output of the VST to be mono or the actual audio track it creates (after you bounce/render) to be mono?

    If you want the audio track to be mono, AT has the answer. On the other hand, if you want the VST output to be mono for SessionDrummer (or other instruments), you can choose that in the "Insert Soft Synth Options" dialog box.

    Once a soft synth is already in your project, you can still choose a mono output by double-clicking the audio output and choosing the "Input". (It seems the opposite of what it should be, but it makes sense if you see it.) Instead of a stereo output, choose either the Left or Right output.
