Help with Using AKai MPD32 with Sonar 8.5.3
I've tried to follow the instructions on setting the Akai MPD 32 as a control surface not ACT.. a Generic though.. it doesn't work for me.. can someone please explain how I go about doing this? I follow the instructions within the MPD 32 manual.. Still no luck.. I want to contrl faders adn pans..

Sorry This is to set it up as a Act... to set up as controller just choose cakewalk generic Controller I dont if this helps ... Go to Options Controller/surface, Click yellow Star above the red x, From the drop down boxs under controller/surfaces , choose Act Midi Controller, Input will be usb and output will be usb, Now in the main screen in the upper right conner you should see a drop down with your available controllers/sufaces, choose ACT midi Controller when ever you wanna a sign an automation parameter to your akai.. I have the Mpk 49 took me time to figure it out, good luck.. what I was doing wrong was I wasnt choosing ACT Midi Controller and was lookin for my akai preset wrong.. when you open the act midi box it self thats were you will choose your akai controller preset..

I tried this as well, but did not have any option for USn in or out. My options showed:
AKAIMPD32
MidIIN2.......
MIDIIN3.....
I chose AKAIMPD32 for in and out, and get nothing. Any ideas?
I'm using a USB 2.0 Edirol UA-1000, if that comes into the equation somehow

I found a blog on Indaba Music from Mr. Jaz-titled "Configure the Akai MPK25 to work with Sonar 8.5". I know its a little different, but should help you get done what you need, has screenshots, and good instructions! Hope this helps, good luck.
