I was just wondering about you the other day. It HAS been a long time! Another distinctive Durod tune. Good lyrics. I might think about warming up the piano a bit, maybe a bump at 1K or something. Welcome back!

There are some spots on the doubled vox where part A doesn't seem to want to agree with part B. I can certainly hear your style at work here! Nice clear recording.

I liked this one Duane! Good to have you back in these parts! Nice, clear recording and the main vox was heart-felt. I see you've been practicing the electric guitar and it really shows. Truely enjoyed this inspirational tune. Larry

Very nice Duane. Really loved your voice, very big, deep and powerful. Great, great song i had the pleasure of listening to twice. Please don't stay away so long in future. Mark.

Hey Duane!! Your vocals on the verses sound about the best I've heard them; I think because they sound so relaxed and intimate. And your work on the lead guitar is really showing!! When it goes from quiet verses into the big chorus, it's pretty abrupt. That might be exactly what you're going for. But maybe a subtle little drum fill or lead guitar lick or something might help smooth out the transition a little? Just my $0.02. Nice job buddy!

Janet: Thanks so much and it's great to be back. Appreciated the tip on the piano; this was the first time I really tried to make the piano the lead instrument in any part of a song, since I don't play piano!! I'm trying to diversify a little more. ShaDOH: Yea, I probably should have taken more time on the vox..... oops! Thanks a million for pointing that out. Larry: Hey buddy! Oh what I would give to be able to put down a lead part like you guys. Thanks for the encouraging words old friend. Mark: Boy, I honestly don't think I've ever had anyone say they listened to one of mine twice. I'm definitely honored and want to thank you very much for the kind words. Dave: What do ya say Mr. bass man!! Yea, I tend to go for the abrupt sometimes..... hee, hee. First put 'em to sleep and then JOLT em' back awake..... love it!!!! Thanks Dave.

Hey Duane, funny enough on another thread a few days ago i was commenting how the forum's musical slant had veered away from Christian pop to a lot of classically inspired stuff, and lo and behold you're back! This is great, i love the upbeat nature of the chorus. I hear what Robby was saying about some dissonance at times between the guitar and vocal but for me this makes the sound interesting. Production wise everything is clear and in its own slot, nice to have you back! just too short!

Thanks Frank, it's great to be back and I really appreciate your comments. I'm trying to be a little more versatile with my style, and along with that and trying to do my own lead guitar.......... it's getting verrrrry interesting!!! thanks again friend
