Dimension Pro, Drum kits and Step Sequencer

Hey everyone. I just got the big DSF Vol 1-10 expansion pack for Dimension pro. One of these packs was acoustic kits. Normally I've been using Session Drummer 3, but since I paid for this, I might as well use it. The problem is, and it's not a huge problem, when I hit step sequencer view in SD3 it will show snare and bass drum and things like that, but when I do it with Dimension, it shows notes, even though it plays different drums in the same way. I know it's not a big issue, but is there some way around it? It's sort of inconvenient. Thanks for reading.

you need to transpose the notes an octave...

the lower octave in SD is to play / stop patterns.. if you shift the notes an octave it should be fine..

again you can do that via a CAL script.. OR as suggest already drum map

you can adapt my drum maps on mike's site I'm pretty sure.. just change the OUT note to what it should be

If DSF want to supply me with ALL the kits I don't have.. then I'll write the maps for em

I am in the process of doing the ones for the proteus ones but it takes AGES.. I wish cake would write a SFZ > drum map parser :)


but remember SD has FAR less drums on the keys than you can put in Dim Pro
