Your sounds and production are quite nice.  However, the writing and the harmonic progressions are very predictable.  This maybe a good thing if a client wants something that sounds familiar, or it may be a bad thing if the client wants something more original-sounding.

What instruments did you use on this?

I don't know anything about harmonic progressions, so I think it sounds great!

    Hi,

    thx for your comments.... :-)

Well that track is for a music-library. For that kind of music it is often very helpful, if the track is predictable and a bit repetitive. Imagine the track is used for a promo of a movie or something else. then it is often not very useable, if there are many modulations..... But for a "normal" song in an artistic sense I aggree with you :-)=

My template consists of various libraries: LA Scoring Strings, Epic Horns, Westgate Woodwinds, HollywoodWinds, Symphobia, various Percussions (Stormdrum, East West Symphonic Orchestra, Evolve, Drums of War, East West RA, Tsaiko, Cinetoms, Dhol, Epic Toms.....), a custom choir.....

    cheers

Man that sounds nice ..... I think you nailed it, very Cinematic! Nicely composed and produced.

This is sounding great. A more distinctive, punchy bottom end would help it to sound even better.

I don't know about predictable, and I know little of harmonic progression, but I do know what sounds good, and this fits right in.

You have done lot, with a little. It actually seems rather simple, but that is the most pleasing aspect of listening to it. Good use of dynamics, and the general rhythm carries the song on.

This would satisfy the opening for many different film scores.

I'll keep this one around for a while, and thank you.

What was your sound module, or VSTi?

The progression sounds familiar in spots, but, none-the-less, a very powerful, dynamic piece. I enjoyed this very much!

Jochen - very impressive orchestral piece that would sound great in a film.  Do you mind letting us know which intruments you used to produce it.  Sounds really really good!

Excellent work. Great use of the libraries you have.

    I enjoyed this a lot.

One little crit from me; The increase and decrease in volume around 1:15  was a little confusing to my ear.

    Thanks
    Mark.
