Yea, the review made them sound like a good deal.  The ADAm ribbons are interesting - they sound so smooth for pro use.  Almost too smooth, tho they give you an idea of what your mix will sound like in the real world.  But you need to match it w/ something clinical so you can hear the warts and all.  That is what the local studio I use does - Genlecs for faults, Adams for feel.  Good combo.  I haven't heard the Prodipe, tho, but I image it is in the same family.

I still think soft dome tweeters are the best for studio monitors.

Just received a pair of the Prodipe Pro Ribbon 8's and they are SOOOOOOO flat.
Tried remixing some of my work and wow, they translate extremely well! They seem to have been my missing link.
Using these along side of my Alesis Monitor One's and some small computer speakers (using the Mackie Big Knob Studio Command System), I feel I've got all bases covered.
I would HIGHLY recommend these to anyone.
IMHO, they are worth 2-3x times the money (paid $299 for the pair-shipped)!

May I ask how on earth you managed to pay $300 for a pair of $459 monitors? You did in fact, purchase the Ribbon 8's and not the Ribbon 5's correct?
Reason being,is that I went nuts researching online for the Ribbon 8's and there are only 2 American retailers that carry them & the cheapest priceI could find is $399.

    Thanks

Apparently got them before a price increase and yes, they are definitely 8's, not 5's.
Still using them and loving them, especially since I arc'd them.
