Do a dynamic mic an a condenser mic interfere?

Dear forum people,

I realize that dynamic mics can interfere with each other as they have coils.

However, what's the situation for a dynamic and a condenser mic? Would they interfere in a similar, of other way? If so, how?

What about condenser mic to condenser mic?

Thanks for any replies.

no... and as far as interference with dynamics.... the coils and current (therefore the magnetic fields generated) are so small that I doubt you could hear the difference even if the mics were really close to each other.

You might be able to document it in a lab with gear designed to look for that.... but hear it... IDTS.

Condensor mics won't be a problem, they don't have voice coils. They use a little tiny drum head type thing with an air gap that acts as a variable capasitor (the old timey name for capasitor was condensor, hense the name).

I have used dynamics side by side without any adverse effects.

Most of them have a nice metal shell and shielding so yeah,... that thought of that.  Now.. if you have a bad cable.... you might get a radio station.

I'm (reasonably) certain you can criss-cross mics to your hearts content.
