Audio Record

Is it normal for the few seconds delay when you arm a track and press record. It takes about 3 seconds to start recording when you click the record button.

No, its not normal. go into your metronome properties (Views > Toolbars > Metronome) and change the count in to 0

If thats not it, your sound card config, like your recording I/O buffer may be set to high

Have you tolerated that huge delay for five years and 660 posts thinking it's normal? You have the patience of a turtle .

Does the actual recording and playback go OK and in sync?
Does this really happen only when you record audio, not when a midi track is armed?

What are your PC specs? Are your HDD's defragmented and is there enough free space on them (more than 20%)?

    Otherwise: What CJ said.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
