Okay, it still sounds like a blues Jr to me....On second thought, my Blues Jr sounds like a Marshall.

Thanks Tap ,Blipp, Amateur.

Scotty, i think to a point we can make our equipment sound like whatever we want.  I can get some severe strat licks from my Les Paul.  People have even commented how "classic strat" it was when it was the LP.  I also used to get a kind of Marshall sound when I was using my Blues Jr.

Much, much better Mark. The bass and drums really anchor this down now, and the guitar is spot-on. Cracking track.

I love that haunting melody.   Your playing is amazing.  I love the tones.   I have a hard time with the drums.  They are played like a drum machine IMO...this is such a wicked cool tune that i would experiment with a more percussive kind of drum track....more calypso kind of feel (not exactly but more rolling pattern instead of straight rock.)   just me being difficult.....i love the tune.

Thanks Shawn.

Thanks No How.  Drums are loops of real drummer.  I could see it done with a calypso beat, but I like what I have.

I really liked this mark...your playing sounded fantastic...the drum loops however were very good but left me feeling left...what i mean is the drums favoured the left with the HH and the splash or crash all on the left nothing on the right to even them out. But i still loved your playing and the tones of your guitar.

Very true. I have done strat sounding tracks with the LP also. It even fools me!

Nice job, Mark.  I'm hoping our cabin on the north rim of the Grand Canyon has internet.  I would love to hear this song and Blipp's while staring over one of the seven wonders.  This tune is really gutsy!  Nice instrumental work!

Alkie, good to see you again.  Thanks for listening.  Hmmm, the drums sound balanced on this end.  Not sure what to tell you.

Scotty, just more proof that the tone is really in your fingers.

Warren.  Thanks for the comments.  PM me with you email and I can send you an mp3 of the song if you want.

I gotta tell ya Mark..had the phones on while listening to this and the stereo image and panning of the guitar was fantastic! This reminded me of of Loreena McKennitt, except your guitar phrasing acted as voice. Exceptional playing and I got lost in this, which is always a good thing. My fav from you to date...

Nice work Mark. I like the part from about 1:56 on through the end where you really open up and let-er-rip! Nice tone and expression. Meaningful.

Yep, that guitar tone sure works for you. Terrific sustain, delicious delay. Well developed theme, love those fluid chops around 1:50. Actually, the manner in which you develop the melody reminds me of Satriani, not one I would ordinarily compare you to. Beautiful playing. Good mix too. Well done.

Dunno how I missed this one...sounds really really good...guitar playing is evocative, a word you don't use much these days listening to current guitar tracks. I can tell the mix of stylistic influences are a mile long, but I can hear them echoed, not copied.

Superb.

Mark, This again is another example of how it is done and done right. Great instrumental mix and the guitar was mixed up with supreme complexities. The leads all stood right out there and the harmonics were awesome. This is a great piece and was very well exiqutied. Wonderful piece of work.
