Either the NP-30 is not sending the sustain pedal control or Sonar is not recording it. Go to Options-Global-MIDI and make sure the proper checkboxes are checked. Check the NP-30 manual and make sure it is sending the sustain pedal control. Sustain pedal is control 64 and has a value of either 0 (off) of 127 (on). Check the Event List view to see if Sonar is recording it.
