    Hi,

Been ok for me today, but yesterday was a beeeach!

Yes. I posted about this a couple days ago, then it seemed fixed for awhile, but it's back again with a vengeance. Very annoying.

It's still happening to me (never stopped, in fact).

Why only some of us, I wonder -- or am I the only one at this point? It's annoying, and it certainly hasn't kept the spammers away.

Not once since that fist time the other day. And....

I got on with my air card at at work and now I am hardwired at home. The cookies seem to hold for me on the same computer even with different net configs and adapters.

Didn't somebody mention at one time that the forum software sucked?

Maybe that's it then, to put it in the present tense it's just the forum software sucking.

We need more philosophy ... not enough and too much new agey stuff on these sentences!

Well, it's not deterring the spammers if that was the intent. So far it looks like I'm the only still having this problem, so I'll either live with it or try to contact whoever's "in charge" (would that still be Willy?).

It's a PITN, and dampens my heretofore boundless enthusiasm for this stellar forum software.

    Thanks-

    Hi Susan,
I used CCleaner to remove all my cookies... and I updated to the latest Firefox version. It was right about the time that thew server got maintenanced. It seems yo have coincided with my not having anymore log in problems.

Perhaps you can flush your cookies?

    best regards,
    mike

not a problem for me so far. I log in when I start the computer..... I cruise the net...come back and I'm still logged in.

The only time I need to log in again is if I shut the computer off and then come back.

Got rid of my cookies yesterday, but no improvement -- if anything, it seems a little worse. I haven't timed how long it takes before I have to log in again, but it's well under an hour.

I leave the tab open in FF just as I've always done. I never used to have to log in even after shutting down my PC. Once a day I don't mind, but this is silly.

    Oh well, dunno...

That's weird. I've had no trouble and have been logged in continuously since they finished doing maintenance on the forums last week. (I'm using Opera 10.60 though)

Maybe you have some security setting or anti-virus SW is blocking some cookies or something?

    Hi Drew-
Maybe you have some security setting or anti-virus SW is blocking some cookies or something?

It's gotta be something on my end, I suppose, but I have no idea what or where to look. I use avast! (same as always), and it's only the Cakewalk forum that insists I keep validating myself.

Maybe it's their subtle way of saying "We've had enough of you. Really."

    Thanks-

    Are you on 3.6.6?

I did my cookies and updated to 3.6.6 at the same time.

    I'm on 3.6.8.

FWIW, I haven't had to log in since just after my post from a couple hours ago. I tried to log in, got a server error, then when I refreshed the page it took me right to the forums with no log in funny code and it's been fine since. Coincidence? Probably.

    Thanks-

    good luck :-)

FWIW, I haven't had to log in since last Saturday.

Crazy question... is your computers clock accurate?

    Yes, my clock's right.

I had thought that perhaps the servers clock was incorrect and setting cookies that were soon to expire. But after last Saturdays servicing my issues disapeared.

I am sorry to learn that your problems are ongoing.

    best regards,
    mike
