I used ZoneAlarm Security Suite for years cos it could be set not to load on startup. It wasn't until ADK advised against using it in my laptop, and I switched to MSSE, that I realized ZASS had been screwing with my network connection. So far the only hiccup I've had with MSSE is sometimes it doesn't start fast enough to suit Windows, which generates errors in the Windows logs, but doesn't mean a he'll of a lot, especially if I'm not connected.

These spam-bots are becoming increasingly illiterate.

Haha!  I was thinking the same thing!

As for AV, I've used AVG Free for a long time, but now it's become bloat-ware so it's out and I'll probably use AVAST for my everyday PC.  However, for the music studio box, I like the suggestions from Scott and Guitarhacker.  Since I have a few external harddrives, I can easily carry one between my everyday PC (that will always have all the AV goodies and utilities) and the studio box.  Download files, check 'em with the everyday PC, then take them over to the DAW.  I like it!

Virus protection is required for the computer. If there is not any protection for computer then virus will be damaged all the file of the OS and computer will not perfectly work. So protection of the computer is done by using anti virus.
