VGA+
Gooday guys, I'm begining with Sonar HS. The only way I found to use VGA+ is clicking it in the effects and then click on the input echo otherwise no sound. Then the sound comes half a second after I played, pretty annoying. If someone has a beautiful solution to this I'd be really pleased.

That's called latency. There are many ways to deal with this and you should use the forum search above and read up on it. Also, you need to list the equipment you are using because that is relevant to the approiate solution.

ah ok - made by? does it have it's own "soundcard?" if not he'll need a new soundcard to reduce the latency if it does then he needs to use it as a soundcard.

We all learn something every day! I didn't know what a VGA was either Beagle...other than a PC video graphic adapter format! Don't you just love it?!

It's the Studio Devil VGA+ amp sim included with SHS7. I think it may have come with SHS6 as well. Fred, as you discovered, you must turn on input echo to hear VGA+ (or any effect) on a live real-time input. You can play the recorded track back, and hear the effect, but I prefer to hear what the effect is doing as I play, since it can affect how I play. If you are using your built-in sound card, it really can't handle the real-time processing involved. The most elegant solution would be a better sound card, as suggested. A proper sound card is the difference between the annoyance you are experiencing, and the joy that SHS can be.
