m-audio axiom 49

i just got the m-audio axiom 49 with cakewalk music creator 5 i am a total newbie and have no clue on how to set it up
 
any help would be much appreciated

    Right off the bat I would suggest going through the users manual one step at a time to make sure your midi device is installed correctly and you have the latest drivers. Put in the installation disk and follow the onscreen instructions.

     I'm not familiar with Music Creator but it should recognize the device when you start the program. In a midi track, select the Axiom 49 in the track input section. If you are going to use a soft synth with the controller I suggest checking out the program's help files on how to insert and use Soft Synths. It's pretty easy once you've done it a couple of times and know where everything is.

    Everything you need to know about your device is in the manual. Don't let it overwhelm you. Just take it one page at a time.

    I have to warn you this thread will probably be moved to another forum because the Axiom 49 is not a Cakewalk device.
