Hit Factory Drums

I finally got a copy of the New York Studios Vol. 2 for Superior 2, and did this quick test of the Hit Factory kit. Man I love this room. I don't even have my V-Drums and Superior dialed in on the velocities yet, but it's a way fun kit to play. Anyway, here's a quick first test I did with it.

The sound of the room on the snare is what sold me on this expansion pack.  I'm thinking about rendering a one shot side stick or stick clicks and seeing if I can use it as an impulse for a convolution reverb, so I can put vocals or other instruments in that room.

I'm digging the room sound on this sample set, but also the drums are tuned up real nice, right where I would have tweaked them in too.  The snare on this sample set is called "trick" and certainly it is!!!   ;)

Yep!  love that tone and space!  A must have piece of software for Superior 2.

    I agree--they sound great.

So what do you do...hook your electronic drum set up to the computer and trigger the Superior 2 sounds with your drums?  So it's really you playing, right?  (I'm sure you never knew anyone could be so dense, but I've never seen this done and I'm curious.)  :-)
