You may need them, depending on which ones you are talking about?

I beg to differ with CJay, but I believe that unless you're running Windows7 64-bit and Sonar 64-bit, you don't need them.

If Dim Pro and Rapture are working fine for you, then you may not need them, but overall the patches provide a number of improvements, including...
    • Windows 7 compatibility
    • Mac OS X 10.6 support
    • VST 2.4 support
    • Windows 64-bit VST improvements
    • Performance improvements
    • Improved stability when using sample rates of 96K and higher
    • Improved compatibility with Cubase
    • New micro-hosts for Mac OS X
    • Micro-host application icons updated

    Micro-host application icons updated

I saw this, but the icons I get look exactly the same as the ones I had before. Looks like a black square with a gray m in the middle. Is that what its supposed to look like and if not, how do I get the new icon?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.  Looks like it is mostly Win 7 and 64 bit stuff.  Unless you need the micro host or above, I say no and I'm voting w/ my feet on it.

Ok Guys great, starting to understand, what about this problem of the plugin version before the update not being removed and does dim pro stop being a DXI and then becomes only a VST.
