Sonar 8.5 X64 + Windows 7 X64 => how do I run EZDrummer ?

Hmmm

This is confusing.

I run Sonar 8.5 X64  and  Windows 7 X64.

I installed EZDrummer and the Nashville kit - everything installs fine  except  that the  drum kits wont load and play ?

Can EZDrummer currenlty be used in  8.5 X64  and  Windows 7 X64  ?

I assumed BitBridge would automatically pick it up and configure it  ?

If so, can someone please point me in the right direction.

Thx

This was a known issue with te 32 bit EZDrummer and Bitbridge. It has been resolved. Have you installed the latest patches for EZDrummer?

Go to your Toontrack account and download version 1.2.1. This should install the 64 bit version.

    Intel i7 3770K @4.4GHz, 32GB RAM, 240GB SSD System disk, 2 x 2TB and 1 x 1TB (with SSD Cache) HDD. Windows 10,  Sonar Platinum. Roland Quad Capture.

    Hi Glyn

    Will do.

Quick question pleased  -  does this  1.2.1 update make EZDrummer a fully native X64 application  *or*  does it simply make it possible to now run the X32 version with BitBridge or JBridge  ?

    Thx

I cant be 100% sure because I have been travelling since this has been released and have not downloaded and installed it yet, however the 64 bit beta that was the previous solution is no longer there so I am pretty certain the native 64 bit version is included in this release.

Thats very strange because I and many others have had a working Native 64 bit version working since around the turn of the year. It was available as a beta until 1.2.1 was released. There were no issues with the beta, so I find it very strange 1.2.1 is not working for you. Are you sure you are scanning the 64 bit version and you are not still loading the 32 bit one.

Dave Modisetti (Mod Bod) is the resident expert for all things toontrack and he may jump in. These issues have been discussed here at length so you may find somthing if you look back through the forum.

The old (pre-Beta) solution was to use JBridge but that should not be necessary now.

The latest EZ Drummer is 64-bit and doesn't require bitbridge or Jbridge.  They put out an update for Superior Drummer several months ago and followed with the update for EZ Drummer. They don't do a very good job of saying this on their web site, but if you download the zip file you'll see that it has a 32-bit installer and a 64-bit installer.

They call 'em fingers, but I've never seen 'em fing.

I just updated to superior 64 bit and it works great.  Make sure to point cakewalk to both the 64 bit and 32 bit versions of superior.  I thought I was using the 64 bit plugin but I was really using the 32 bit (in a 64 bit environment and it wasn't loading).  When you load superior 64 bit the plugin will say 64 bit in parenthesis.  Hope this helps.
