VSTi Question

I'm using Sonar Producer Edition 8.5 and am having an issue with the Native Instruments Pro-53 VSTi.  I made my midi track, configured Pro-53 exactly how I wanted it to sound, and now everytime I hit play in Sonar, Pro-53 reverts back to its default settings.  I have tried messing with the track properties but really have no idea how to fix this.  I don't want Sonar changing my VSTi settings.  How can I fix this?

One way is once you have finished tweaking Pro53 save the patch?

Also consider setting "Zero Controllers When Play Stops" to off. See page 214 of the Sonar 8.5 Reference guide PDF for more info on this.

As Glyn said, you have to save your changes as a new preset.

You probably have a patch selection included in the MIDI file, which causes the synth to reload a standard preset. Make sure you have selected "None" from the patch dropdown listbox.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
