Can I organize my VST plugins?

I actually want to make subfolders for each type of effect like: Reverb, Delay, etc. Can this be done within the VST folder that contains all the plugins? Will Sonar still be able to find them?

When I insert a plugin in my effects bin a long menu opens that lists all the plug ins so I'm assuming that I can categorize each then make sub folders that contain each.

Thank you

Do this using the Plug-in Manager (it's in the Tools menu) in Sonar...not in your VST folder(s).  It's very easy to have several different layouts of plugins in separate folders using the plugin manager.  I've got one very similar to what you're after broken down by both type (i.e. eqs, compressors, reverbs, etc...) and bundles (i.e. Sound Toys, Maserati, Sonitus, etc...).

Where you come from is gone...where you thought you were goin to weren't never there...and where you are ain't no good unless you can get away from it.

    Thank you yorolpal!

I did what you said and it worked great. I wasn't sure and didn't want to try it before asking here!
