I wonder if this has happened to you

Ha ha - i ended up taking the hot seat in the studio the other night and teaching the engineer how to use Sonar. He didn't even know how to change the time signature on the metronome.

Most of MINE are. Though i'm a fan of 135 bpm. I was drumming for a mate's side-project in 3/4. This time signature appeared to confuse the Prog-Metal-loving engineer. Which is strange as they are normally the KINGS of time changes.

The main point here is that i FELT GREAT. Like the nerdy kid who points out his Teacher's spelling error on the blackboard n gets a sticker for it (when really the teacher wants to poke his eyes out with chalk)

Yeah, that's cool Dave.  The guys in my family know WAY more about computers than I do, and always catch on to new things faster.  But every now and then I can wow them with my Sonar skills.  And the fact that one of my programs is about 117 GB's--well, that almost makes me cool now!  :-)

I doubt that any program of any size will make me cool with Mooch The CHB.

This is strange to me ... the engineer is merely recording or cleaning up the stuff that the musicians are playing!

I would imagine that by now an engineer should know these things, but why is an engineer fiddling with the timing of what is coming through the wires, unless he is creating the music?

I thought you said it's not the size that counts?

I'm a beginner ... mine is about 10 to 20 BPM's on a metronome for my bass ... but that's because I got so many sound effects and weirdness going through it that ... a lot of those effects are lost if you go fast ... not to mention so muddled that Bapu would say ... that's a bass?

I like it better without the metronome on the sunthesizer and stuff and thing! That ticktock is annoying ... I'm trying to find one with color lights instead, but no luck so far ... and silent too!

So did the engineer ever use sonar or was that his first time? This is time he was being paid for you shouldn't have to pay. WHAT?!
