Because Mooch asked me....

MOOCH!
Whilst we were discussing cats, you asked the following question:

(Pronounced "Dah beh") What!?

I like to imagine you have attempted to say this word over and over. 'Derby' is the name of the city i'm from in sunny England. People in the USA/Canada pronounce this word as 'Durr bee'. In the UK, we say 'Dar bee'.

However people from Derby pronounce it 'Dah beh'. Because 'Beh' is SLIGHTLY lazier than saying 'bee'.

Derby is so proud of it's biggest success: (the creation of Tomb Raider the video game), that we opened 'Lara Croft Way' a couple of days ago. Yay Tomb Raider!

So why do they run the Derby in Ascot or Kentucky?

    What is a Brown Derby?

Isn't Derby too near to Nottingham to be worthwhile?

And surely Derby is too far north to be classed as the Midlands?

And why do it's residents call menfolk 'Duck'?

    (or do they?)

So many questions about Derby I don't know where to begin.

Ha ha - well the first lesson you must learn is to never compare Derby to Nottingham. We are rivals. Nottingham maybe slightly bigger and more famous because of Robin Hood, but....LARA CROFT. Who would you rather 'read about'?!

I'm guessing it's the same as the Southampton/Portsmouth rivalry. (you're down that way are you not?)

The only thing that Notts has that is better than Derby is an Ice Hockey Team.
However, i support the Sheffield Steelers cuz my parents lived in Sheffield.

And yeah, since when is Derby in the EAST MIDLANDS?!?

LOL my partner is from Portsmouth where they refer to the Southampton folk as 'scummers' I believe...

Yeah I'd noticed the Notts/Derby thing many times...

I'd go for Lara Croft over Robin Hood too as Angelina Jolie looks g....... actually thinking about she probably looks OK in an all green Robin Hood outfit too...

Casting her as Robin Hood gives "Little John" a new, somewhat awkward connotation.

I find doing 'it' because Mooch asked me, is no excuse justification.

Since when did Mooch ask you to do anything, it's usually an order, no?

Which reminds me has that nasty nettle rash cleared up yet?
