VS-20 Control Surface Installer for Cakewalk Hosts (x64 and x86)

Just a couple of issues after downloading and installing the above. Firstly there was no dialogue box offering the choice of x64 or x86 during the install process? And more importantly neither Sonar 8 (SE) or Guitar Tracks Pro 4 now produce any sounds after this install. I guess I've done something wrong? On the plus side the VS-20 still operates the faders etc and the Guitar Tracks (VS-20 version) works...

    Hi there,

Are you running Vista or Windows 7 64-bit? If not that is probably why you didn't get a choice. I just ran the installer on my Win 7 64-bit laptop and got the dialogue box offering me a choice. If you are not running a 64-bit OS you won't be able to run SONAR as a 64-bit app and therefore will not need the 64-bit control surface plug-in.

Regarding the other issues you mentioned, can you check to be sure you have the VS-20 selected as your playback device in Options > Audio?

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks Samara,
Just trying to eliminate the obvious. I'm using the Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit OS, so that would explain the lack of choice. On the other issue it seems to be down to matching the Sonar Files to the audio capabilites of the VS-20. Previously used the Line 6 UXII Interface.
