The article says that the lycopene in tomato based curries is supposed to reduce cancers.  They missed pointing out that new research shows that turmeric may be better in that respect.

Consider my attention well and truly got Eric

It was all looking good up until the final paragraph of the article:
    • Avoid drinking alcohol before ordering.  Even a small glass of wine or beer can lower inhibitions, increase appetite and result in over ordering and over eating.

Curry is good for humans, but not so good for the chicken, cow or goat.

Or in some of the places I've eaten - the Alsatian or the cat

Well, try a vegetarian curry then.

I remember a study from the UK some years ago that suggested curry is actually addictive. It sure is for me. Deeply inhaling that sweet fragrance as I walk into an Indian restaurant is all it takes to put a smile on my face. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

I can only hope it's good for Alzheimer's. What was the topic again?

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Yep - I'm sure that the chilli content combined with some of the aromatic spices in curries is completely addictive, and additive as well because you've always got to go one hotter!

I know what you mean about walking into an Indian restaurant and being hit by the sweet sweet smell Bit, marvellous! Although in my travels across the pond I don't think I ever found a decent curry house?

I made a nice big pot of curry at the weekend in my new kitchen (which incidentally was part paid for with the whole of my Les Paul savings ) - a lovely and fragrant paneer and pea balti, rich with onions and tomatoes..... mmmmmm!
