Updated Dimension Pro 1.2 to 1.5 and lost my expansion packs

I then reinstalled the expansion packs. I see the folders "Expansion Pack 1" and "Expansion Pack 2" under C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro\Programs. They don't appear in the Dimension Pro browser, even after I refresh the view with F5. Please help. Thanks!

Try moving the expansion pack folders to C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro.  I forget the default location but if it's not where you you have them installed reinstall to default location.  If that doesn't work just use the load program function.

    "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro\Programs"

That's where mine are installed and Dim Pro sees them.

There is a "Program LST" file in that folder.  Try moving it to a location out of any Cakewalk folder (don't delete it) and see if Dim Pro builds a new one when it's opened the next time. If it doesn't then move the LST file back to it's current location.

    From the KB article here:

    http://www.cakewalk.com/s...der.aspx?ID=2007013168

To correct this issue do one of the following:
    1. Run the 1.5 updater again, the 1.5 update will automatically copy installed content into the new location

Manually copy your 'MIDI', 'Programs', and 'Sample Pool' folders to the following location:
    C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro

    C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro

I don't have a "C:\ProgramData" folder.  Are you sure you two are talking about the same OS version?

    Are you on Win XP?

    Then you'll have this folder:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro

    Win Vista & Win 7 it's:

    C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro

I fixed the issue by performing these steps:
    1) reinstalled 1.2 update
    2) reinstalled expansion packs
    3) reinstalled 1.5 update
It's very confusing and I had to make some guesses (which turned out to be correct). For one thing, dim pro defaults to the 32 bit program files folder (x86) -- so I specified the 64-bit folder. Also, with version 1 and 1.2 of dim pro the dxi is 64-bit, but the vsti is not (I found that out the hard way, after stumping tech support, who didn't have a clue about this undocumented "feature"). Why can't Cakewalk get someone like Urs Heckman?
