    Reece,

    Thanks!

Ah, the chick...just a another satisfied client.

No, not really. For a long time she went by the name Creepy Chan (real name Allison Harvard). She's from Houston and actually ended placing second in America's Next Top Model. Just a little odd to say the least.

Do a Google search. plenty of info out there.

Whew!  I was afraid you'd come back and say that was your beautiful daughter or something and be offended!!!

hey, earl - I still want to come out and get a tour of your studio one of these days.  we have a DFW Sonar Users group and we've toured a facility in Arlington before, but it was PT based.  I'd like to bring the group out and pick your mind about recording and mixing, etc.

Sure Reece, I'd be delighted. Just figure out when and we'll see if I have anything going on. My cell is 817-874-9811. I'm usually available 7 days a week unless I'm tracking and I do like to hit church on Sunday mornings. If I'm editing/mixing I can always break away from that.

    Thank you Mike!

Looks like you've created a cozy, comfortable refuge there, Earl. The kind of place that's conducive to relaxed creativity. I am envious of your lava lamp collection.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I'm trying (and failing) to imagine a world where I would be allowed to utilize this much space in my house for my studio...Ok, I can't imagine a world where I'd be granted more than a single room.  In the basement.  Where we keep our dead.

    Looks great!

UB - Actually this is an 1875 sq.ft. commercial building. It was built in 1895. Lots of cool vibe for sure. It's located in downtown Mineral Wells, TX. It is a commercial recording facility but I've tried to make it comfortable so clients would feel like they are in my home. (It's actually nicer than my home.)

Janet - Thank you for the kind words. When I said, "I like to call it home", I don't actually live there but it's true that I spend more time there than at home.

Bit - I've always heard that lava lamps in a studio create exactly what you described. So...I though if one is good, seventeen would really be good.

Reece - Looking forward to it!

I characterize the place by saying I created a little clubhouse to hang out in and I'm just fortunate that people pay me to hang out in it with me.

    And I'm on 8.5.3 BTW!

    Here is the exterior...

But not all of 'em. Mooch and I have not been to Bubba's house. When we do, y'all will hear about it.

    Neat place.

I wondered about the double door.

But having been a commercial place, that would explain it.

    Great place and great contents!

Good eye. And you know what?  I ran across a deal on those doors when I was putting the place together. There is a place in Fort Worth called Builders Surplus where I found them. Those are solid core doors faced with birch. Run you about $75-$100 a piece at Lowes, Home Depot etc. I was able to get 12 of them brand new (still band-strapped up) for $200! I couldn't believe it! Needless to say, every opening has two doors except vocal booth which just has one. I have 3 left over. Think I'm use 'em to build some rolling gobos.

    Thanks for the nice comments!
