New direction, needs inspection!

Hey guys/gals,

I was hoping I could get some ears on a new tune!
I'm trying to go a new direction and put a little more energy into the songs.

I'd love to hear what you think.
Here she is if interested:

    IMHO
    Good song.
Needs some work on the arrangement and the changes kinda slide into one another instead of just changing. You need to put the time in to take it from being a good song to being a great song.

    Hello Ron,

New directions are always good IMO.  Bravo for taking a leap.
Cool song.  I think the mix is still in first stages....EQ is leaning a lot to the bright high end...may need some beef in guitar tones.   DRums also need some ooommph..
Vocals sound well sung and right on key but the processing is, again, a little too thin.  Maybe less verb and some add some analogue saturation??? not sure.
All my novice opinions so please take lightly.
Cool song...just needs some attention to EQ

Sounds like a tune for the radio!

I personally think the Kick is non-existent. The Bass is below the guitars in volume and the Bass/Kick are the largest waves (Lowest Hz= Largest waves) so they should be almost out in front to sound natural to the ear... listen to just about any radio type song like this and the Bass and Kick are full up in the mix.

The symbols are very "thin" and sound like they have been boosted in the high highs quite a bit....

I find that adding drum fills can make so much more energy in a song, or even doing little tricks like adding background vocals... speaking of.. it sounds like you have panned two different vocal tracks L and R.... so I mainly hear your vocal coming from my left ear... might try to center the main and then spread the doubling around that... just a thought

Kinda cool song though... Tear jerker
