Nicely written tune! Sounds good. Possibley needs some production tweeks but I'm not good at those suggestions. Some of the other folk up here can help there. I like your tune.

I hope you don't mind the name dropping, but it reminded me a bit of Crowded House. I consider that to be a good thing, one of my favorite bands. I agree the snare is too hot. Solid songwriting and guitar playing. Maybe a tad too much reverb on the lead vocal, a bit less might help is stand out in front of the bgv. Good job. Mark

Strumming guitar sounds good, with a nice little melody in it, to boot. Solo electric guitar sounds good, except at 1:26 where it goes in to a higher register and flattens out with no vibrato. Just flat like somebody's monitor who went brain dead. Drums don't sound right. Don't know what's wrong, they just don't sound like the other guys who write good music here. Your vocals go out of tune periodically. The good songwriters here use Melodyne and tune theirs up. I like your subject matter.

Drums probably dont sound right because I have only got Session Drummer at the moment to use for drums or drum loops, so makes it a bit hard to sound good, Yes vocals are out a little bit, but my own opinion is I try to make my vocals sound natural and not tune it up, because if i did that when i play live it was sound different to the recording, but i really appreciate the feedback and I am trying to improve on my mixing and vocals as i progress with recording my songs, Cheers and thanks for taking the time to listen

Hi Jason, Good to hear you again. What I mostly remember of you before was the strength in the direct simplicity of your songwriting which is apparent again here. Nice song and an honest performance, welcome back.

Hey, Jason - really nice work here. my biggest critique is your doubled vox. this is a pet peeve of mine - it's obvious (to me) that you've got some phase shifting in the vox and that's always due to someone trying to "fatten up" their vocals by cloning and time shifting the track. when you do that it always introduces a phase shift, or a cancellation of some frequencies when they're 180 degrees out of phase with the original track. gives it a "phasey" sound. I'd recommend removing that 2nd track. or if you want to make the vox sound fuller, use a "whisper track" or just sing it again and mix it in at a much lower volume, but don't clone and shift. just my opinion, tho. really nice song, very nice recording of the guitars! keep up the good work!

Beautiful song. Perhaps a few issues here and there, like others have mentioned, but I love the tune, the lyrics and your playing. Nice job.

Nice tune! I love the harmony work on the verses! The mix seems slightly overloaded on the left side. I think that may be because of the doubled main vox. I think if you went to a single track for main vox and center panned it would balance it.

Nice melody, i enjoyed it :) Liked the acoustic guitars the most. About improving the mix: Your voice is good, the mixing of the vocals, well.... not perfect. They don't really blend well or "gel" with the song if you know what i mean. I like the idea of what you are trying to do, but it doesn't fit. Maybe it's a combo of panning and reverb/effects. As others pointed out, the snare sound is both to hot, and not sounding the best. Try replacing it :) Sounds like i didn't enjoy it. I did, honestly, and the last point i want discuss is the panning and overall blend of the instruments. Somehow i think you have been a little to creative with the panning. There is not much going on in the middle, is there? In my opinion you should drop the vocal "doubling" and pan the vocal track closer to the center, so every instrument has its own place in the picture. And there is more going on the left side than the right side. Also the fading in the end of the song are way to fast. Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaddde it :) Thanks for sharing. Best of luck.
