Problems with Audio
I just loaded Sonar 8.5 onto a PC XP laptop - the laptop itself is only a year old,
and has all the correct specs.
I'm opening up some cwp files from a previous recording session and I'm able to
see all the tracks. However, I'm not getting any audio.
I'm actually trying to get the audio through my M-Box interface - I've loaded
ProTools onto the PC and the M-Box lights up.
But I'm not getting sound from Sonar to the M-Box...and everything else (YouTube, etc.) is
playing through the laptop speakers, not the M-Box.
Checked in Audio Devices and M-Box is the Sound Playback default device and the
default for MIDI music playback.
Also the default on the Voice Playback...However, SoundMAX is the default for Sound
and Voice Recording with no other options.
In Sonar, in Options/Audio/General Tab: there are NO options for Playback Timing
Master (or for Record Timing Master).
In Options/Audio/Drivers: The only choice is SoundMAX.
In Options/Audio/Driver Profile: The only choice is SoundMAX.
I'd like to figure out how to put in M-Box as one of the choices...
It's actually listed as a choice in Options/MIDI Devices.
I realize this might be a question for Digidesign, but given some of the specifics
related to Sonar, I thought I'd try here first. I'm mainly a Mac guy these days;
I used to work with PCs but have forgotten most of what I knew.
If any of y'all can help, it would be MOST appreciated.
