Just guitar stuff

may be of interest.
This guy, John Page  builds guitars. If you don't know who he is you may enjoy
finding out. If you have time to check out his links it's worth it I think.

Links>Other Friends>John Page's Functional Art Colume - and it's cool
to see him in action.

He has had a major impact on me and reading about his past with Fender
with just cool.

I couldn't help but think of that old question we've all probably been asked...
"If you could spend one day with anybody, who would you like it to be?"
Well you know my answer.

I guess there's not much interest in this or folks are just
    speachless.

If it weren't for you Bapu I could have spent this thread
    with myself. Not a rarity.

So what we gonna do now Spacey?...I don't know Soundtrapper...
I have an idea....let's lock me out and get Mixermutt and then
    we'll have a crowd...was gonna say three-way but didn't want
to get Jon started.  Well the baits in the water....man what a
slow day at work. I could be spending the day with....who
    the hell am I now?

Look interesting, what does it sound like.  I like the look of the natural wood ones on his page, but then I would wood.

Wookiee I've read that he has a great ear for selecting tonewood.
His years have given him great abilities and it must be true
because the ones that could afford his creations are very happy. At
    least the few I've read.

I also noticed he has a "payment" link..

What surprised me was he doesn't set the guitars. He sends them
to another guy to set them up.
That just doesn't make sense to me because setting the guitar up
has a very big effect on how it's going to sound.
I guess he really doesn't know until it comes back to him.
And from my limited experience with building, setting up a
guitar is very easy and the easiest part for me. Of course
I have 40+  years of that.

    Kate Moss.

I know I'm so predictably shallow I probably needn't have bothered to answer but the London based 'supermodel' has always intrigued me for some inexplicable reason, and though she is not at the peak of her career anymore I've always felt sure she'd be a great person to spend some time with.

Aside from that I've mostly enjoyed the company of most folks I've met and that has covered a pretty broad selection over the years, and I don't feel a particular lack from not meeting a certain individual, but like you there I really enjoy spending time with people that are masters of a craft.

I think it's a cool-looking guitar.  And, I'll have to admit...for a second there I thought, "I didn't know guitars had all those gears inside!"

Jon it's very cool you mentioned her. I didn't know about her and saw a photo
in some mag just a few days ago. Very beautiful.
    Ya....John who?

    Thank you Alex.
I've been rambling a lot so I must have suffered withdrawl...is that right? withdrawals..withdraw's...oh well you guys are smart enough to cover my goofs.
Gives me a feeling of security, a blanket of protective understanding of a failed
    education I attempted.
